Among the more popular new trends in vinyl replacement windows is the use of the black window. Many manufacturers do a vinyl that is white on the inside and painted outside. Most painted exteriors have a ten year warranty.
Fiberglass is sometimes used but can be costly.
Black inside and out is not as common and may limit the number of manufacturers that can help.
It's important to note that black windows on one or both sides are more expensive than standard white, tan or even sandstone colored windows.
Black over black is one of the most sought after design features in modern windows. These show grids between the glass but simulated divided lite grids are also available.
Window installation is the most important part of any replacement window project. The way the window is measured, the way the old window is removed and the installation are the most important parts of the project.
Almost anyone can tear out a window and some folks can put one in and get it square. The real devil is in the details.
Caulking beads, trim and the unseen details are crucial and the defining components in a window replacement project. We have special techniques that no one else uses. It's more time consuming but it's worth it in the finished product.
This picture shows something you'll never hear about from the rest of the crowd. This is something that really matters. It's also something that no one plans on and budgets for, unless there's someone who really cares in the mix. We are the provider that really knows and really cares about the best performance for you and your home.
One of the better suppliers in North Texas is NT Window.
They are built in Fort Worth with glass that is made at the Cardinal Glass plant in Waxahachie. This is also one of the very few manufacturers that orders the glass as insulated units in exact sizes from Cardinal.
Most manufacturers order the glass and build the insulated glass units in house. The Cardinal produced units are fabricated by machines and have less human error. It's just a better process.
It's one of the reasons that NT is so popular for our customers. Our seal failure rate is less than one half of one percent with this product.
This is a great update that we've used in Dallas for years. There are more styles than just picture windows or single hungs and double hungs. This casement style has swinging glass panels. This removes the horizontal meeting rail on an operating window. It's a great design feature and favored by many designers as it makes the window look bigger and removes that obstructive bar in the middle of the window. These windows have the screen on the inside of the window.
We do sell wood windows but in many cases, it's better to use a vinyl window inside the classic wooden frame.
This is a considerably cheaper window option and can be half the cost of a typical wood window. Wood units can average $2500 and this is about half the cost with performance that is actually better than the expensive wood window approach.
On this one we see painted wood surrounds and a Midnight colored NT Energy Master Vinyl Single Hung window. This is a great approach for those older homes.
This provides modern performance and keeps the classic wood frame and trim both inside and outside. This window also has the option of Simulated Divided Lite Grids. Those are grids on the inside and the outside of the glass for the more classic look of wood with much better performance.
This home is in University Park.
While not approved for historic applications, it is the better option for both performance and cost effectiveness.
No one offers more options, models and manufacturers than we do. We are proud to help you find the right solution for your home no matter the value or the long term goals for you and your family.
Frame thickness is a huge consideration for many. We have several options that have smaller frames and still offer great performance.
Our Amsco units for instance have frames that are similar to your aluminum windows but offer the performance of a high quality vinyl window.
This picture also shows the color of the Cardinal 340 Glass Package. Higher performance than Cardinal 366 and more of a blue color than the green that we see in the 366 unit.
Knowing all the options is how you get the right windows for you and your home.
Bronze has made a come back in windows. Formerly thought of as a dated look, design trends in all things resurface. Bronze, Black and other custom exterior colors let you pick and choose the color palette of your home and the replacement window industry caught up with that.
Bronze windows can be aluminum but those won't meet energy code requirements in many cities. This is the right product if you need bronze color inside as well as outside the home.
Vinyl offers a two toned approach with a painted exterior on a white or a tan interior. Vinyl is more energy efficient and meets Energy Star Requirements in Dallas and surrounding areas.
We offer several manufacturers with this option. Bronze made a come back.
